Vancouver Flamenco Festival 2026. A concert by Philippe Jean & Iminah Kani (Montreal/Salt Spring Island), co-presented by Alliance Française.

Montreal-based guitarist Philippe Jean, trained in both classical and flamenco guitar and having studied extensively in Spain, will perform alongside Iminah Kani, recipient of the previous Victor Kolstee Award. Philippe Jean is this year’s winner of the award.

This flamenco guitar concert is presented in the context of the Victor Kolstee Award, a biennial award that celebrates flamenco guitar in Canada and supports further study in Spain, while honouring Kolstee’s memory and the contribution of flamenco musicians.
